D-GROUPS
Discipleship Groups
D-Groups are intentional periods of rapid spiritual growth. Same gender groups of 3-5 people that meet once a week for one year to study the Bible, memorize Scripture, & hold each other accountable.
LIFE GROUPS
Doing "Life" Together
Life Groups do life together! They are mixed gender and age groups that meet once a week in a member's house. Group sizes are 10-15 people. Groups discuss sermons, pray, & hang out together.
"Go, therefore, and make disciples..."
Matt. 28:19
Our small group ministry consists of D-Groups and Life Groups.
Small Group Overview
Roles & Responsibilities & FAQs
What is a disciple?
A disciple is a dedicated follower of Christ. These are people who listen to what Jesus taught and live it out based on what they've been shown.
Why have D-Groups?
D-Groups allow us to obey the command of Jesus in Matt. 28:19-20. It allows people to grow with a deeper intensity in Christ and learn how to have accountability as a Christian.
Life Group Leaders
Group leaders are not teachers; they are facilitators. The aim of a group leader is to promote participation of the group and foster a heart of service amongst the small group (encouraging one another to serve in some capacity).
Host Homes
Life groups will also have host homes. Hosts will not be the ones to plan the meeting, but will be the ones to show hospitality by allowing your group to gather in your home. Each home will be encouraged to provide a snack of some sort. The group leader and host should be different people.
How are small groups different from Sunday School?
Small groups don't have lessons or teachers. D-Groups will learn what it means to be a Christ follower and how to live it out. Life Groups will meet to grow as a community and seek opportunities to serve.
Can I join a D-Group and a Life Group?
Yes! There is no limit to what you can be a part of.
